  • Abu-Ghazaleh Consulting Concludes ‘ISO 9001:2015’ Workshop for Civil Service Bureau Staff

    AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. Consulting (TAG-Consult), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), concluded ‘ISO 9001 for the year 2015’ training workshop for 24 employees of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB). ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS).

    Mr. Sameh Al-Nasser, CSB President, thanked TAG.Global management, the organizers of the training course in particular, praising the advanced training methods and techniques, expressing hopes for further cooperation in the training field.

    Al-Nasser affirmed the keenness of the Bureau to get ISO certifications in various fields to provide its services based on standards of quality, efficiency and transparency for the benefit of service recipients, and to also enhance the level of institutional performance. 

    Further Al-Nasser affirmed that this ISO 9001 Certificate is considered an added value to CSB’s other achievements including the winning of King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in Government Performance and transparency pointing out that CSB was one of the first government institutions to launch its own website and to introduce e-archiving and documentation systems as mentioned in the first edition of ISO 9001 in 1987. 

    For his part, Mr. Berj Vartenian, Executive Director of TAG-Consult, praised the bureau’s efforts in implementing high-level quality standards noting that the Bureau applies a set of standards including the ISO 26000 on Social Responsibility, ISO 10002 on Customer Satisfaction and Complaint Handling.

    During the workshop, a number of topics relating to ISO 9001 were analyzed relevant to CSB operations in addition to an in-depth analysis of the CSB systems, legislations and regulations. 

    It is worth mentioning that the workshop comes within the framework of the signed MoU between TAG.Global and the Bureau for the provision of training services crystallizing one of the most important strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors.
